Three days at the Meliá Iguazú, inside the park

It is the only one of the three that stands inside the Iguazú Falls National Park, on the Argentine side. You are already within the park when the walkways open, and you are still there when the day visitors have gone.

Inside the park, which changes the day

Everyone else drives in and drives out. From here the walkways are a walk away, so you can be at the Devil’s Throat early and come back in the late afternoon, when the coaches have gone. And from the lawn you can see the spray of the falls rising over the forest.

The suites, and what is through the window

Beamed ceilings, wide floors and a window that gives you the forest all the way to the horizon. From some of them you can see the spray of the falls without getting up.

The hour after the day visitors leave

The park empties in the evening and the hotel does not. The terrace looks straight at the falls with the lanterns lit, and there is nobody on it but the people staying.

The same for all three hotels

Questions travellers ask us

Are the national park entrance fees included?

No, and we prefer to say so plainly: the entrance fees on the Argentine side and on the Brazilian side are paid at each gate, by you, on the day. Everything else on this page is arranged and settled before you arrive, so there is nothing else to deal with while you are there.

Do we really see both sides of the falls?

Yes. A full day on the Argentine side, where the walkways take you among the falls, and a half day on the Brazilian side, which is where you stand back and see the whole thing at once. Both are private, with your own guide and vehicle.

Which of the three hotels should we choose?

It depends on what you want the evenings to be. The Meliá is the only one inside the national park, so you are at the walkways before and after everyone else. The Amerian looks out over the meeting of the Iguazú and the Paraná, with three countries in view. The Loi Suites is built through the Iryapú jungle and is the quietest of the three. We are happy to talk it through with you.

Can we stay longer, or add something?

Of course. The Gran Aventura boat ride under the falls is the one most people ask about, and a third night turns the second day into an unhurried one. Tell us and we build it in.
